WCO Regional Private Sector Group Asia/Pacific (RPSG-AP)

The Korea AEO Association (KAA) is the only member of the WCO Regional Private Sector Group Asia/Pacific (RPSG-AP) in Korea and is leading the development of the AEO system and the rights and interests of AEO companies.

What is the WCO Regional Private Sector Group Asia/Pacific (RPSG-AP)?

It is an advisory group that gathers companies and specialized institutions in WCO member countries to present and propose opinions on various trade issues at the private sector level to the WCO General Assembly. Key roles include :


  • Suggestion of private-level opinions to WCO Customs Heads Meeting, Regional Liaison Hall Meetings, etc

  • Support for effective implementation and adoption of international standards by WCO member countries.

  • Utilization of business resources and government relations for implementation of programs developed and adopted by the WCO.

Major activities
  • - Leading the preliminary work of AEO operation status survey of WCO member countries.
  • - Suggestions for visualization and designation of AEO benefits in WCO standards and public data.
  • - Opinions on improving the import and export environment of South Korean companies in various fields of trade and customs administration such as FTA and e-commerce.
  • - Self-analysis and investigation of other institutional-related documents etc.
