Support for difficulties in overseas customs clearance

Our association establishes and operates the「Support Center for Overseas Customs clearance Difficulties」as a dedicated window for receiving and consulting on overseas customs difficulties to help member companies solve large and small problems encountered with foreign customs due to Customs and non-tariff barriers.


Support Center for Overseas Customs clearance Difficulties

「Support Center for Overseas Customs clearance Difficulties」actively supports member companies' export competitiveness by making efforts to resolve difficulties in overseas customs clearance through sophisticated consultation with related domestic agencies such as Korea Customs Service and overseas specialized institutions such as the WCO.


Domestic Support for resolution of issues through sophisticated consultation and strengthening links with organizations such as the Korea Customs Service’s overseas customs clearance support center, government ministries related to import and export, and associations by industry
Overseas WCO Private Sector Consultative Group(WCO PSCG)* Suggestions for resolution to the WCO by presenting and discussing agenda items related to difficulties by each committee (AEO, HS, taxable price, country of origin, etc.)

This is a Private Sector Consultative Group composed of enterprises, research institutes, organizations, etc. within WCO member countries, and suggests opinions on the improvement of various tariffs and trade difficulties to the WCO General Assembly, etc

Support for CBP CTPAT validation

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) periodically verifies that members of the supply chain, such as exporters, logistics companies, and customs agents in countries where goods are exported, manage the safety of goods and containers at their CTPAT* level.

Our association supports the efficient response and resolution of CBP's supply chain safety verification requests from member companies and trading companies (export and export supply chains such as commodity supplies, logistics, customs clearance, etc.) with 10 years of verification experience and AEO experts.


Member Companies
  • - AEO companies are excluded from CTPAT Validation and MRA agreements in principle
  • - When CBP requests supply chain verification, such requests are supported by means of a verification list through close consultation with the Korea Customs Service

We gather opinions from the perspective of members regarding the conclusion and implementation of AEO Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) in Korea, and support AEO certified companies to achieve greater economic benefits through analysis and promotion of actual MRA effects.
If you let us know about any difficulties experienced during Customs clearance in the exporting country (AEO MRA Agreement Bureau), such as refusal to apply AEO MRA benefits or other inconveniences in Customs procedures, we will do our best to solve the problem.

Through regular meetings and surveys conducted every year, we collect opinions from member companies and conduct suggestions to resolve difficulties and represent the rights and interests of member companies.
